Bali is an incredible place I had the chance to visit last year and gave me unforgettable memories. Many people had warned me of the magic and energy of the island but I was still surprised. It was one of the most extraordinary experiences of my life and if you ever have the chance to travel to Indonesia, I’d recommend this part.
Depending on how long you stay, you can split the journey into different stages in order to visit different places. The island is immense; each part has its charm and it is crucial to try to explore most of it.
The fancied area is Southeast Bali: Jimbaran and Ulu Watu. These are the hippest, most surfer-friendly and away from mass tourism areas. If you like remote, quiet and sports-oriented tourism then these are for you. Back then I stayed at Jimbaran for most of the trip. Back then we stayed at one of the most luxurious rental villas in Bali. It was close to the airport, was super cosy and decorated in ideal Balinese style. The service was fantastic with rich cuisine with beautiful countryside surrounding it. There were also wonderful pools both inside the villa and outside. Check VillaGetaways.com Uluwatu for some luxury villas with pools in Uluwatu for your luxury retreat.
After we got settled, we set out to explore the best beaches of Bali. The beaches of South Eastern Bali are perfect for surfers as they have the best waves. Bingin Beach is like a hidden gem! There were not many tourists and most were young people. The atmosphere was very relaxed and magical.
Balangan Beach is another beautiful beach in Bali. Its natural baths make it truly special and it is surrounded by spectacular palm trees that give it a very exotic touch. Its crystal green waters will make you think of paradise especially when the tide is high and the sand is white and fine.
Besides these hidden beaches, there are several other more popular beaches worth visiting in the area. These are the luxurious beach clubs. For example, Finns Beach Club is a great choice if you want to enjoy a drink by the crystalline waters followed by an exquisite feast in their restaurant. During the sunset there are always known DJs playing and the atmosphere is fun.
In Bali there are so many beautiful places that they are sure to please any taste. If I got the chance, I’d love to visit again and explore it just like the first time.
